Vietnamese amusement parks and resorts receive WTA . award
Within the framework of the World Travel Awards 2022 (WTA), the world’s largest tourism industry award ceremony, three hotels, and three amusement parks in Vietnam were honored.
The World Travel Awards 2022 (WTA) was born in 1993 and is held annually to honor the best service providers in the field of travel, tourism and destinations. The Wall Street Journal once likened WTA to the Oscars of the world travel industry. The fact that businesses and destinations are honored by WTA is of great significance to the tourism development of countries.
This year, Hotel de la Coupole ( Sa Pa ) won the “World’s Leading Design Hotel” award. This place is located at 1 Hoang Lien street, Sapa town. Double room price from 3 million VND.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (Da Nang) was honored in the category “World’s leading eco-friendly resort”. Located on the Son Tra peninsula, this place is likened to a resort paradise in Vietnam. Visitors can both immerse themselves in the unspoiled natural world by the private bay, while engrossed in exploring and admiring the unique design style of the resort. Room rates from 12.5 million VND.
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort is “The world’s leading luxury wedding resort”. This accommodation is located at Khem beach, An Thoi district, Phu Quoc city, with room rates from 6 million VND.
Fansipan Legend tourist area (Sa Pa) won a double prize of “World’s Leading Cultural Tourist Spot” and “World’s Leading Natural Scenic Attraction”.
Ba Na Hills in Da Nang won at the same time the awards “World’s Leading Cable Car System” and “World’s Leading Iconic Tourist Attraction”.
The Golden Bridge was honored in the category of “World’s Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge”.
Hoi An Impressionist Park located on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Hoi An City won the “World’s Leading Entertainment Destination” award.
In addition to hotels, and entertainment spots, many destinations were also honored in other important categories. In which, Vietnam is “World’s Leading Heritage Destination”, Tam Dao is “World’s Leading Town”, Moc Chau is “World’s Leading Regional Nature Destination”. Phu Quoc (pictured) was named in the category of “The world’s top natural attractive island”. Hanoi is “the world’s leading destination for short breaks”.
The promotion of destinations, resorts and entertainment in Vietnam in the international arena in recent years, especially after being affected by the epidemic, is considered a remarkable step forward. “Over the past decade, Vietnam’s tourism industry has had different developments compared to most regions in the world. Some creative ideas have been realized. This has shown awareness and thinking. the macro level of the Vietnamese people, in the strategy of developing tourism products, I believe that the reputation of Vietnam’s tourism will rise to new heights,” said WTA President Graham Cooke.
