This is one of the most beautiful lonely trees in Vietnam because it is about 250 years old, growing on the edge of rocky mountains in the Global Geopark.
Lonely tree is a tree about 40m high, the trunk is up to 5 people hugging, the foliage is luxuriant. The tree is located along National Highway 4C, section through Can Ty commune, Quan Ba district, Ha Giang province. This road is a rocky mountain on one side and a deep abyss on the other.
The tree is tilted, leaning slightly towards the cliff. The base of the tree also has a small hole that is formed naturally. Vendors around here used this niche to store their belongings.
Although growing in the barren limestone mountains, lacking soil and water, this tree is still green all year round.
According to the Management Board of the UNESCO Global Geopark Dong Van Stone Plateau, scientists believe that this lonely tree and dozens of trees in the ancient forest in Can Ty commune are extremely rare and red gnats. , is about 250 years old.
Living conditions in the Dong Van rocky plateau are very poor and harsh. However, local people still keep the ancient forest of hundreds of years old.
This proves that lonely trees in particular and Can Ty forest in general have extremely sacred and special meanings.
According to local people, in the past, the road through the lonely tree was very narrow, just enough for motorbikes to move. By 2019, this road will be upgraded and repaired to become one of the main routes moving from Quan Ba district to Dong Van and Meo Vac.
Tourists come to Ha Giang over the years more and more crowded. Many people going through this route find it very interesting when in the middle of the rocky mountains, there is an ancient tree growing up.
The unique check-in photos at the lonely gallows tree were then shared more and more widely, turning this place into a must-stop destination when coming to Ha Giang.

In the festive seasons, the buckwheat flower season, an estimated 1,000-2,000 people stop to take pictures with the lonely clematis every day. At the weekend, tourists flock here more crowded. The local government had to upgrade and expand the ground under the tree for tourists to visit and take photos safely and easily.
The local government also regularly warns visitors to pay attention when checking-in at the lonely tree so as not to affect traffic and keep themselves safe.
To take pictures of the most beautiful lonely tree, visitors should go around noon and early afternoon. At this time, the weather is usually sunny and beautiful, lonely trees are not covered by fog. If you go through the lonely tree at sunset time, you can own romantic photos.
