The mussel is smaller in size than the mussel. This is a bivalve mollusk related to oysters, clams, and clams

They are milky white, the largest of which is about the size of an adult finger.

This species lives mainly in brackish water in coastal estuaries, and lagoons and is often confused with mussels and clams.

In Vietnam, mussels are found in many places, but in the Thanh Hoa area, they are most famous because of their unique flavor.

Dogs are available all year round, but from March to April is the time when they are the best and most delicious

To catch this species, fishermen bring homemade iron rakes, net bags, sacks, baskets and pots to wade down to the beach.

Special tools are net rackets to be able to rake them up from the water. In the season, if you go to the rake all day, every day you can rake 40-50 kg, selling from 300,000 to 500,000 VND.($1=25,000 VND)

In the past, lead animals were often caught by poor laborers to be processed into dishes or sold to lagoon owners and farms raising shrimp, crabs and ducks at a cheap price. The dog can cook many delicious dishes, the most famous being porridge.

In the past few years, dog has been known as a nutritious food, becoming a specialty that is loved by city people and many tourists.
