Referring to the caves with the magnificent and fanciful stalactite system, Quang Binh, Ha Long, and Ninh Binh are always the first places that many people remember. But few people know that downstream to the West of the river, specifically in the beautiful land of Kien Giang, there is also a very unique cave system.

Son Tra Cave is located in the heart of a limestone mountain created from hydrolytic origin. According to scientific and geological researchers, the caves here were formed by erosion millions of years ago, when this land was still more than 2m below sea level.

This enchanting limestone cave is adorned with arched rock formations that are reminiscent of portals to an alien world. Like a maze, many different sized, branching passages stretch through the cave as if creating its own universe.

Inside the cave there is a rather large skylight, where the rare light from the sun crept through the trees, illuminating the cave. If you watch at the right time, usually from 10 to 12 noon, visitors can admire this unique shimmering moment.
