In fact, the tree or cotton reed is not a strange species in Vietnam. Not only is the reed lawn at the foot of Long Bien bridge, in our country there are also many other places with beautiful reed fields. The locations are spread across all parts of the country, some are located close to the border but are actively hunted by professional backpackers.
1. Binh Lieu, Quang Ninh
Referring to the reed fields in the North in particular or the whole country of Vietnam in general, it is impossible not to mention the names Binh Lieu and Quang Ninh. In addition, the field of reeds here is also located in a very special position, making the travel followers or professional backpackers, every year just wait for the blooming occasion of the year to pack up and go.

It is located on both sides of the “dinosaur spine” of Binh Lieu. It is a small trail on the top of the mountain, belonging to the Dong Trieu – Mong Cai arc. According to many tourists, in the past, this “dinosaur spine” road was very difficult because of its narrowness and steep slopes on both sides, not suitable for those who are afraid of heights or weak of heart.
However, now, a section of the road about 2km has been concreted, built with 2000 steps and has railings on both sides, providing more safety for visitors.

The grass fields on both sides of the “dinosaur spine” in Binh Lieu usually start in the season from about early October every year. Instead of the yellow green of the grass, the fields will now turn white from the large reed area.

2. Thuan Phuoc Bridge, Da Nang
Da Nang is a famous coastal city, one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the country, for both domestic and foreign tourists.
But few people know that, in Da Nang, besides the blue beach, white sand beach mixed with golden sunshine, there is also a place that owns an extremely beautiful reed field. It is at the foot of Thuan Phuoc bridge, a cable hammock bridge spanning the Han River, connecting Nguyen Tat Thanh street with Man Quang bridge, between Hai Chau and Son Tra districts, Da Nang city.
A part of the vacant land at the foot of Thuan Phuoc bridge, Da Nang also has beautiful reeds.
Similar to the area at the foot of Long Bien bridge, Hanoi, the foot of Thuan Phuoc bridge also has a certain area of reed grass. The reeds here are tall trees, some of which are even taller than a person’s head, like the reeds in the Red River rock.
Because of the scenery of the white reed field, this place has become a place that attracts many tourists or young people to visit whether it is early morning or late afternoon. In the early morning, from here you can watch the sunrise with the early morning dew, and in the afternoon it will be an ideal place to admire the whole sunset.

3. Tuyen Lam lake area, Da Lat
Unlike the reed fields in other provinces, the reed grass in Da Lat has a very unique feature. That is, instead of pure white, the reed in Da Lat is pink, also known as pink reed grass.
The place with many pink reeds in Da Lat is located in a tourist area, near the area near Tuyen Lam Lake, about 10km from the center of Da Lat city.
The reed grass is pink, red, grows in clusters, close together, the average height of the tree is about 1m, but there are also reeds that are higher than the head.

In the past, the fields of reed grass in Da Lat were not really known or noticed by many people, next to the fields of hydrangeas or wild sunflowers. However, after some pictures of the place, especially from above, look like colorful carpets, it has become a more popular tourist attraction.
To visit Da Lat’s pink reed grass hill, visitors will spend 50,000 VND for the entrance fee of the resort. The time when the pink reed grass is at its most brilliant is around the end of the year, from October to December.

4. District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
In Ho Chi Minh City, there is also a field of reeds that is extremely famous with indigenous people. This is chosen as a place to take commemorative or wedding photos of many groups of friends or couples. It is a field of reed grass located in District 2, near Metro An Phu, Ho Chi Minh City.
Lau here usually blooms from the sky in autumn, ie from September onwards. Not only to take pictures, many young people also come here to enjoy the atmosphere, have fun or participate in attractive outdoor activities after stressful working and studying hours.
