The kingdom of storks in Hai Duong
Tens of thousands of storks from all over the world fly to their nests close to the tops of bamboo, looking from a distance like flower branches covered with white flowers is a spectacular sight in Co Island, Hai Duong province.

Over time, the storks and cauldrons living on the island are increasingly crowded in a number of individuals and diverse in species composition, becoming an attractive eco-tourism destination, with an area of 31.67 hectares, currently with about 16,000 storks and storks. 6,000 cauldrons live.
Discovered in 1994, according to local legends, after 3 big floods, an island emerged in the middle of the lake, like a pearl that nature has bestowed on Chi Lang Nam.
There are nine different types of storks namely fire stork, fly stork, stork stork, black stork, welcome stork, heron stork, white stork, horizontal stork, incense stork and three types of the cauldron are gray cauldron, blue cauldron, black cauldron derived from Many places in the world. The special thing is that people here never catch storks or eat stork meat, or cauldron.
The harmonious interweaving of trees, birds, lakes with fresh and airy space and many ancient steles, temples, pagodas and shrines in the region, especially with traditional occupations such as washing fish, rice paper, cakes plants and ornamental plant nursery, agricultural production… all these factors are enough for Chi Lang Nam to develop into an attractive eco-tourism area.
Early morning and late afternoon are the busiest time of Stork Island. It was an interesting “shifting shift” between the stork and the cauldron in daily life. At this time, the storks fly to find food and pull back to the nest to rest after a hard day’s work.

If you go in a large group, you can rent a small canoe so as not to disturb the life and activities of the storks. If you go with a few people, you can hire ducks to slowly cycle around the lake and discover the amazing nature of this place by yourself.
