Hot waffles are a favorite snack of many Vietnamese people on cold windy days in late autumn and early winter. Banh Beo is a famous specialty in the central provinces, especially Hue. Hue cake with the shell is made from pure rice, ground into a fine powder, soaked in water to make it flexible, and then mixed with a little fat.
