The coffee shop in Sapa sells only one type of drink
LAO CAI – The cafe is located in the middle of the mountain in Sa Pa, only selling cinnamon aniseed cappuccino, served with croissants.
Minh Minh (32 years old, Hanoi) has just had a trip to Sa Pa in mid-October. Minh said that the biggest impression of this trip was to experience a new cafe, located on the top of a mountain in Sa Pa.
The shop is located at an altitude of 1,600 m above sea level, about 3 km from the town center. Visitors move along the mountainside, there are concrete roads that are quite easy to go. The view of the restaurant covers the mountains and sea of clouds in front of you, with a 360-degree view of the Muong Hoa valley. The seating is mostly outdoor, taking advantage of the natural setting. The design of the shop is simple with umbrellas and small wooden tables. Guests sit in an arc, facing the round stage, watching the sunrise in the morning, and waiting for the sunset in the afternoon.
Minh knew about this cafe thanks to food forums. The shop meets the unique criteria, large space, many beautiful photo angles. Just opened on October 13, but this place has become a favorite check-in place for many tourists when coming to Sapa.
The most special thing is that the shop has only one drink, which is cinnamon anise cappuccino, the name on the menu is Coffee 1,600. and sold with croissants. “Coffee has milky taste and aroma of cinnamon, strange and delicious. The cake is soft and fat, hot and crispy. The two dishes are quite suitable to enjoy together”, Minh said.
According to the cafe’s representative, this is a signature drink, cappuccino is prepared according to its own recipe, unlike anywhere else. This diner can only feel when directly taking a sip. “Too many items on the menu will be a distraction,” said the owner.
Coffee 1600 and croissants are not sold separately, but in a combo that costs 300,000 VND per person, once entering the shop.
The minimalist interior helps diners focus on the experience with nature. However, this place is only suitable on beautiful days, neither too hot nor too cold or heavy rain. The shop has prepared a hot wood stove for guests, but in Sa Pa in the winter, many people tend to go to indoor cafes with a cozy atmosphere.
“This cost is a bit high for a coffee session, I think this is the price to buy experience. There are also many beautiful photo spots,” Minh Minh added.
Here, on weekends, there will be Cabaret performances, a form of theatrical entertainment combining various art forms such as music nights, dances, recitations, plays… served with food.
