From the 5th and 6th lunar month, the neighborhood groups have been busy preparing for the full moon festival with models with vivid and attractive shapes, sizes, and charisma. Regarding the number of models of Mid-Autumn Festival lights, this year the number is estimated to reach more than 90 models.
“That’s only in the city center area, not including the communes in the province. The models are newly invested, scale and much more spectacular,” said Mr. Hoa.
Huge models vividly simulate unique traditional cultural features, showing characters, cultural events, history, folk stories, fairy tales, legends, fables… shimmering, brilliant colorful.
Models of all colors and sizes have shown that the festival is not only a playground for children but also a talent race of amateur “artisans” in residential groups.
Thanh Tuyen Festival was first held in 2004 and raised to the provincial scale in 2014 and has since become a unique cultural event of Tuyen Quang province.
Thanh Tuyen Festival has been confirmed by the Vietnam Guinness Book of Records as the festival with many unique models of moon lights, the largest in Vietnam.
Over the years, Thanh Tuyen Festival is not only a meaningful cultural activity but also becomes a famous and unique tourist product of Tuyen Quang, attracting thousands of domestic and international tourists every year. .
