Plum season in Moc Chau has begun. The land of Vu Quang Kien shares 5 places to pick plums for tourists visiting Moc Chau on the occasion of April 30. At these spots, in addition to picking plums, you can breathe in the fresh air, mingle with nature and take pictures to check in.
Mu Nau plum valley is located in sub-zone 13, Moc Chau town, towards the homestay Pho Nui Love, about 5 km from the town center. The road up here can only be reached by motorbike, guests traveling by car need to park their cars at the foot of the valley. Note that when visiting, you should travel by car or rent a motorbike taxi or more to the garden house. Currently, Thang Van gardener has quite a lot of ripe plums and allows guests to experience fruit picking.
Na Ka plum valley in Tan Lap commune, Nong Truong town is about 16 km from the center of Moc Chau town. There are many different garden houses for visitors to visit and pick plums. Plums are grown spanning hundreds of hectares connected to each other, viewed from above, you can see the vastness of this valley.
Co Keo plum valley is located in Cho Long sub-area, Nong Truong town, about 11 km from the center of Moc Chau, with Hai Yen plum garden in the middle of welcoming guests to experience plum picking, camping in the garden is allowed.
Thanh Binh plum garden is located in Ban On sub-area, Nong Truong town, about 15 km from the center of Moc Chau . An entire valley is owned by one owner. If not in the plum garden, this place also attracts visitors thanks to the beautiful scenery, there is more pink season that many visitors come to check in.
Phieng Khoang plum valley in Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau town, located behind Sao Xanh hotel, about 6 km from Moc Chau center. Thuy Ha Garden in the valley has many plums that are bearing fruit. Quang Kien calls the scene seen from above “dragging a curtain for the plum season”.
Visitors to the above-suggested locations can pick plums and pick each ripe and crispy fruit. With low trees, you have a unique experience of sitting and picking plums and eating them on the spot. Quang Kien said that plums are still in the first crop of the season and sour slightly, making him wince when eating, but “dipping with salt is very mouth-watering, eating forever is not boring”.
The early-season plums are crunchy but not too big and not as sweet as mid-season plums. In summer, this is the most typical and inviting fruit in Moc Chau.
The middle of the green space is dotted with red dots of ripe plums. Because this year’s flowers bloom slower than last year, plums also take longer to enter the main crop.
In addition to the experience of picking plums, visitors can interact with garden owners. You can ask the garden owner to take a photo as a souvenir. The price to visit the plum garden and take pictures is 20,000-30,000 VND depending on the garden. Early season plums cost 50,000-70,000 VND per kilogram.
Visitors should go to pick plums early in the morning when the gardens are full of plums during the day. If you go in the afternoon, you should go deeper into the inner gardens to have more ripe plums.
