Ordinary things in Vietnam that surprise foreign tourists when they experience it for the first time
For foreign tourists, things that seem so ordinary in Vietnam make them feel extremely strange when they first experience them.
In addition to delicious food and beautiful destinations, Vietnam also impresses foreign tourists with its interesting cultural features that are unmatched anywhere else.
Recently, Sonya Firsova – a Russian female model and TikToker has posted a series of videos listing things that are very familiar to the Vietnamese people but make her feel extremely surprised. For her, Vietnam not only has a unique eating style, but the generosity of the people here also makes her surprised many times.
Glass cabinet with giant crocodile-shaped loaves of bread
During her visit to Vietnam, what impressed Sonya Firsova the most were the “super-giant” crocodile-shaped loaves of bread, weighing up to 1.5kg, neatly arranged in a glass cabinet. Not only giving many compliments to the creativity of bakers in Vietnam, but Sonya Firsova is also very satisfied with the delicious taste of the bread.

Eat fruit dipped with salt and chili
With a tropical climate, Vietnam has an abundance of fresh fruits, which are sold everywhere. However, Sonya Firsova feels quite surprised when Vietnamese people often dip fruit with salt and chili when eating. While in Russia and other countries she has visited, the fruit is only cleaned and eaten or combined with another dish.

Buy a cup of coffee and get free iced tea
Vietnam is one of the major coffee-producing countries in the world, so foreign tourists come to Vietnam to enjoy coffee. Besides black coffee and milk coffee, our country also has egg coffee with a special fatty and aromatic flavor. Due to the way it is mixed, it is usually accompanied by a glass of cool iced tea. Therefore, Sonya Firsova has expressed interest in the “crazy” of shops in Vietnam.

The coconut is on the ground and costs only a few thousand dong
The price of food and drinks in Vietnam also makes Sonya Firsova “stunned” because it is so cheap. While a coconut in Russia is super expensive, about 310k, a coconut in Vietnam only costs a few thousand dongs. However, what surprised her most was that the coconuts formed into a large chamber and were placed on the ground, instead of displaying each fruit.

Sidewalk food stalls with very small chairs
Most of the tourists coming to Vietnam love the food sold on the street. However, Seara was quite surprised when everyone was eating on very small plastic chairs, without backs and still not being swayed.

Woman carrying a heavy load on her shoulders
The image of a woman with double burdens is probably too familiar to every Vietnamese. But for foreign tourists like Sonya Firsova it is extraordinary. She repeatedly expressed her surprise when she saw the woman carrying a heavy load on her shoulders and still able to move quickly on the street in hot weather.

There are also some other things that Sonya Firsova find strange when coming to Vietnam, such as loaves wrapped in paper filled with words or restaurants with smoky grills right next to a busy road.
