Mountain climbing experience combined with nature exploration at 3 famous mountains in the South
Invite friends to temporarily stay away from the city, doing a mountain climbing trip combined with nature sightseeing is so much fun.
Now climbing is not only a healthy exercise but also brings many other experiences. As you cross the slopes on your own, you will enjoy the natural scenery that changes gradually with altitude. Not only that, but you also have the opportunity to experience camping overnight on the top of the mountain, “hunting” the clouds, watching the sunrise, or taking pictures with the “beautiful” background. If you also want to climb the mountain but don’t have much time or limited physical strength, these 3 famous mountains below 1000m high in the South are the right choice for you.
Chua Chan Mountain (Dong Nai)
Located in Xuan Loc district (Dong Nai), just over 100km from Ho Chi Minh City, it is easy to go back during the day, so Chua Chan mountain is the “gut” place of the mountaineering association but does not have much time. Although possessing the second highest altitude in the Southeast region, compared to Ba Den mountain, the Chua Chan mountain climbing route is “easier to breathe” because this mountain is only about 837m high. Not only that, but Chua Chan mountain also has an arc shape, so during the climbing process, you can see most of the surrounding unspoiled natural scenery.
Chua Chan Mountain now has a cable car system, but many people still choose to climb because the road is quite easy to go. You can go by 2 roads: electricity poles and pagoda roads. The electric pole road will have a clear path, you only need to follow it for about 3 hours to reach the top of the mountain. If you want to visit Buu Quang Tu Pagoda located halfway up the mountain, you can choose to go to the pagoda road.

Standing on the top of Chua Chan mountain, you will have the opportunity to admire the vast plains below and breathe in the fresh air after a long journey through the forests and slopes. If you have time, you should stay overnight to camp, and organize activities such as campfire, BBQ party. The next morning, you can catch the sunrise and “hunt” the clouds around the beautiful mountain.

Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh)
Dubbed the “roof” of the Southeast with an altitude of 986m and charming scenery, Ba Den Mountain is enough to make those who love climbing and exploring nature desire to conquer. Because of its ideal height, standing from the top of the mountain, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the fields, the houses below and Dau Tieng lake in the distance.

To get to the top of the mountain, you can choose to climb the stairs or go by cable car. Although Ba Den Mountain has 2 “genuine” cable car routes, many people still choose to conquer the towering mountain by themselves. The climbing journey is quite difficult, but in return you will be able to see the scenery change with each certain height. In addition, many young people also like to camp overnight because on the top of the mountain there is a large and flat land, the air is cool and pleasant.
Not only the beautiful natural scenery, but also on Ba Den mountain, there are some really good check-in corners for the “virtual living” enthusiasts. The most famous is the balcony corner and the 986m milestone surrounded by white clouds like a fairy scene that few places have. Next is Van Son station, built in European architecture with ceilings and walls covered with colorful mosaic sculptures and many large sandstone pillars. In addition, the surrounding vacant land is also used to turn into a garden of star flowers and buckwheat flowers, you can also “work” a few photos here.

Cam Mountain (An Giang)
Compared to Chua Chan mountain and Ba Den mountain, Cam mountain is somewhat “secret” but in terms of beauty, it is not inferior. This is a prominent mountain in the That Son range, 710m above sea level and is compared by many people as “Da Lat of the river region” because of the cool weather, wild scenery, not many traces. Human construction, especially with clouds floating in the afternoon, is ravishingly beautiful.

Currently, Cam mountain has been developed into a famous spiritual tourist complex of An Giang, so the road to the mountain is quite spacious and large, you can travel by motorbike, car or climb the mountain to explore. Explore more scenes. Up to the top of Cam mountain, you will see the giant Maitreya Buddha statue, the vast Thuy Liem lake and the Van Linh pagoda with beautiful tower architecture. The most “expensive” corner on Cam mountain is the railing of Bo Hong, standing here you can take in the panoramic view of the fields below and the undulating mountains.
If you feel hungry after the climbing journey, you can visit Bo Hong Palace to enjoy the famous forest vegetable pancakes of Cam Mountain. In addition, there are many coordinates on the mountain with a direct view of the extremely chill mountain and forest for you to stay and camp.
