Nha Trang Oceanographic Museum is likened to a “miniature ocean” on land with many rare fish species, becoming a tourist attraction in the coastal city.
Nha Trang Oceanography Museum (under the Institute of Oceanography) is the world with many diverse marine fish species, many marine specimens and scientific research works on the sea.
In 1922, under the French colonial period, the Institute of Oceanography was established.By the 11th lunar month of 1969, the Saigon University Institute took over the management.The Institute of Oceanography in Nha Trang is considered the largest marine research and archive facility in Southeast Asia.
Visiting the Institute, visitors will be able to see firsthand the museum that stores marine life with more than 4,000 types of creatures and over 20,000 specimens that have been preserved for many years.In addition, there are many species of sea creatures that live in glass tanks.
