Not having much free time, due to the nature of work, many young people decide to travel during the holidays despite expecting crowded scenes and traffic jams.
On the afternoon of April 11, after 2.5 hours of sitting on a bus from Vung Tau, Pham Bao Han (26 years old) also returned to Ho Chi Minh City.
The girl takes time to rest and mentally prepare to start a new working week.
Talking about the reason for going on holiday, Bao Han said: “It is difficult for me and a group of friends to find a common time to carry out a long-planned trip. Taking advantage of the holiday for the anniversary of the ancestors’ death, we decided to take advantage of the holiday. It’s true that it’s crowded during the holiday season, but due to reasonable planning in advance, our trip is still complete and fun.”
Accept the crowded scene
“Going out for the holiday season, I’ve prepared myself for being overcrowded and crowded,” Bao Han affirmed.
Before the trip, the group of friends discussed the places they wanted to visit and check in. During the journey, some famous areas such as Back Beach, White Rabbit Park, Robert Taylor antique weapons museum, lighthouse… were crowded but not as overwhelming as imagined.
Han said that she did not have to wait in line to enter the restaurant because the time was earlier than rush hour: “We took the initiative to eat early, around 17:30 we were at the restaurant for dinner”.

Planning a trip in advance is very important because accommodation in large tourist areas often happens overcrowded, it is difficult for guests to find a satisfactory and comfortable place to stay if they are slow.
Knowing this, the female tourist booked a hotel about 300 meters from Back Beach, nearby there was a place to eat and take pictures, so it was quite convenient. On holidays, the group has to pay 700,000 VND / room for 2 people, this price is increased by 30% compared to weekdays but is acceptable due to the beautiful view, enthusiastic staff.
Go a day ahead to avoid traffic jams
That is the case of Truong Tran Nhu Y (HCMC). The female tourist loves the romantic scenery and cool atmosphere in Da Lat, so she wants to spend the whole holiday in this land.
“Every holiday season, the road to Da Lat is congested for a long time. I took a leave of absence and traveled a day earlier to avoid traffic jams. On the morning of April 8, I arrived at the destination as scheduled,” Nhu Y said.
She said that on the first day of the trip, the city was very empty, the famous restaurants were not too crowded. She took advantage of visiting the La Phong tourist area, enjoying can cake, stuffed snail, grilled spring rolls, drinking coffee, and going to a music show at May Lang Thang…

The next day, tourists from all over the world started pouring in. Nhu Y decided to visit Zoodoo – the zoo is located more than 30 km from the center to avoid crowds.
The only time she squeezed her foot in the sea of people was when she went to the night market to shop on the evening of April 9. “The road from the hotel to the market was full of vehicles, so it was a bit difficult to move. When I got there, I had to find a parking lot a bit far away because the area around the market was empty. I just took advantage of buying a few things. Then go, but don’t linger for long because the air is hot and stuffy at this time.”
On the morning of April 10, Da Lat was still very busy, many tourists stayed until the next day to leave. Nhu Y got on the bus at 13:00 and returned home after 8 hours.
Talking about the experience of the last trip, tourists said that the “sea of people” in Da Lat did not affect their schedule too much because of going early, leaving early, and choosing a reasonably fun spot.

Enjoy your vacation in a secluded destination
Besides planning a suitable schedule, a deserted destination with few people is also an option that many young people are interested in when traveling in the high season.
Living in the center of Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Gia Huy (26 years old) said that every holiday season, restaurants and cafes in the city are also crowded with people. Huy and his group of friends had a hard time finding a suitable place to meet and chat.
When a friend invited him to a small fishing village in Xuan Dai Bay (Phu Yen), the group immediately agreed.
The destination is 50 km from Quy Nhon, the road is not as crowded as the inner city. Arriving, 6 people rented boats to the lobster cage area to rest, swim and have lunch.
“For me, this outing is meaningful and the right choice. Just us in the midst of the vast sea, clear water, so it’s very comfortable. I buy and enjoy lobsters caught directly from cages at a price of 600,000 VND/kg”, Huy shared.

Staying away from the crowded city is also the reason why a group of 13 friends in Ho Chi Minh City chose to go camping on the edge of Tri An lake (Dong Nai). Ngoc Buu (25 years old), a member of the group, said that the whole epidemic season was just around the house, so she wanted to enjoy a more meaningful holiday amidst green space and many trees.

However, the team’s experience was not so smooth from the start. Upon arrival, the campsite was full of people, and the beautiful location near the lake had tents ready.
“We left there, walked around the area and finally found a deserted place as we wanted. Setting up the tent, and setting up the food was also when the sun went down the mountain, the group still had time to enjoy the frame. sunset and gather to talk together,” said Buu.
Going on holiday or not is still a controversial issue. While many people are concerned about traffic jams, getting frustrated and uncomfortable, male tourists still think this is a reasonable time to enjoy an outing with friends if they know how to choose a place, go up to the beach, and go out. suitable schedule.
