Nhu’s beef noodle shop is at the top of the oldest restaurants and has been sold for more than 30 years so far. This is also the legendary restaurant mentioned by Miss Thien An when participating in an overseas competition, making people hunt for it.
The shop is always full of customers sitting from the inside to the alley, so coming here, you may have to wait for a table or wait for service a little longer. As soon as you enter the shop, you will see a pot of boiling water, with many pieces of golden fat floating above the eye-catching cashew oil. The floating fat is also an ingredient that makes the broth more delicious, making the restaurant’s beef noodle dish famous, the more you eat, the more addicted you become.

The menu of the restaurant includes beef vermicelli: lean meat, sausage, cartilage, tendon, spring rolls, … depending on the requirements of the diners. The broth here is rated by the majority of diners as having a mild taste, a faint smell of fish sauce, and moderately soft chewy vermicelli. When eating, diners will eat with raw vegetables and salty fish sauce.
Broken Rice Alley 33
Address: 33/16 Nguyen Dinh Chinh, Ward 8, Phu Nhuan
Time: 06:00 – 11:30
Menu: 40,000 – 65,000 VND
The broken rice shop is located in a small and deep alley on Nguyen Dinh Chinh street. Like many other popular sidewalk eateries, the shop is packed in a glass cabinet to store food in front and put a few more sets of plastic tables and chairs outside, looking so simple but very crowded.
The difference in broken rice here is the unique “lean crispy” dish. This part of meat when eaten creates a very strange feeling thanks to the crunchy texture of each meat, grilled and marinated extremely well. Besides, the shop still has full toppings such as ribs, skin, egg rolls, omelets for customers who want to keep the traditional taste.

Address: 199/85 Cach Mang Thang 8, Ward 4, District 3

Located in a deep alley that is hard to find on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Aunt Phuong’s restaurant is almost 30 years old. Previously, her aunt’s shop was known to netizens with the story of selling a house to buy a house of 3 billion, raising her family, and having her children fully educated. That said, how much special delicious food must be sold to exist and have many loyal customers support it until now.
My aunt’s dumpling shop doesn’t have a lot of seats, she has a few plastic chairs next to the dumpling table and the other half is on the sidewalk in the alley. Although it is a bit inconvenient, but in return, you can enjoy dishes with special flavors, quality ingredients and affordable prices. The broth is highly praised by many people, cooked from fresh coconut water, so it has a sweet aroma and a natural brown color. One part is only 20,000 VND, then hearts, pho, leaves…

Pho Minh

Time: 06:30 – 10:00
Menu: 55,000 – 75,000 VND
This is one of the pho restaurants that have been attached to Saigon since the 50s of the last century. The shop is hidden in a small alley, you have to be very careful or you will be very missed. Pho Minh is a familiar address for many generations of Saigon people from the time of grandparents to later descendants.
After decades in Saigon, the bowl of pho here still retains its characteristic flavor with a bar, not too bold taste, hot pho with a slight smell of ginger. Anyone who has been a regular customer for a long time knows that the restaurant uses a wood stove to boil the broth, which after boiling many times will create a different delicious taste. In addition, the restaurant also adds some types of meat such as rare, encrusted buckets … cooked to the right degree of maturity, not too tough to suit the taste of diners.
