Buckwheat flowers bloom, and tourists everywhere flock to Ha Giang to check-in
Happiness Road in the past days is much busier when there are consecutive trips of tourist cars, personal cars, and motorbikes in groups to Ha Giang to admire the blooming buckwheat flowers.
After an early flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Hoan (HCMC) continued to travel by car to Ha Giang.
On October 25, arriving at the buckwheat flower hill in the territory of San Tro village (Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang), Hoan seemed to forget all her fatigue after a journey of thousands of kilometers.
Ms. Hoan said that in the past, she had only seen buckwheat flowers through articles and social networks. She is very curious about the intense vitality of these tiny flowers on this rocky plateau.
As soon as she heard the news that buckwheat flowers began to bloom, she and 10 of her friends booked a tour to Ha Giang.
When seeing the pink flowers in the middle of the mountains with their own eyes, the Southern woman can’t stop exclaiming with joy. “Too beautiful. Much more beautiful than what I saw in the picture,” said Ms. Kim Hoan.
Quynh Trang (An Khanh, Hoai Duc, Hanoi) also took advantage of taking a few days off to travel to Ha Giang. When she first came to the rocky plateau, she was extremely impressed by the flower beds stretching all the way.
“The general check-in price for each flower field is 10,000 VND. The weather in Ha Giang in the past few days has been very nice, so we had good photos,” said Ms. Trang.
Also according to a female tourist from Hanoi, buckwheat flowers are most concentrated in two districts of Dong Van and Meo Vac. There are flower fields that are only thirty or forty square meters wide, but there are also places where flowers are planted on a hill or under wide valleys. The general “ticket” level for garden owners is 10,000 VND regardless of how big or small the flower field is.
According to the observations of PV Dan Tri , the Hanh Phuc road in recent days is much busier when there are consecutive trips of tourist cars, personal cars, and motorbikes in groups to Ha Giang.
Buckwheat flowers are planted along this road and at attractions and community tourism villages to serve tourists. Throughout the flower hills and flower valleys in the four districts of Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van and Meo Vac, flowers have bloomed and are very beautiful.
Ms. Vu Thi My (Lung Tao village, Dong Van district) said that her family grows flowers to make cakes in combination with serving tourists. The fee for each visitor to the garden to take pictures is 10,000 VND. Customers taking pictures of flowers are crowded these days.
“A few years ago, during the peak months, I earned about 500,000 VND per day on average, 1 million VND per day. Hopefully, this year more people will come here. Buckwheat flowers have helped my family have a more income,” said Ms.
To serve the needs of tourists, Ha Giang people often grow crops. Therefore, although the life cycle is only about 2 months, buckwheat is still blooming all over the rocky plateau from October to about 1 or 2 of next year (the time of the Lunar New Year).
Buckwheat flowers are white, pinkish. Especially, when the weather is cold, the flowers are more colorful and beautiful. If you want to admire the beauty of the “flowers on the rock”, visitors can come to Ha Giang at these times of the year.
Talking to Dan Tri, Mr. Dang Quoc Su, Director of Ha Giang Tourism Promotion Center said that buckwheat flowers are the most unique product of tourism in this highland province.
From mid-October, Ha Giang welcomed the first groups of tourists to visit famous beautiful flower valleys such as Lung Tao village, Lung Cam cultural village, Pa Vi ethnic culture village…
