Recently, the People’s Council of Thua Thien Hue province passed a resolution approving the investment policy of the project “Renovating, embellishing, and adapting the Temple of Literature” phase 1 with the goal of preserving and promoting the value of Van Mieu. of a special national cultural and historical relic, a world cultural heritage.
The project has an estimated total investment of nearly 66 billion VND, from the state budget. The project implementation period is three years.
This project focuses on restoring and adapting the entire 830m2-wide main hall of Van Mieu, with brick foundation walls and steps, adjusting the current Thanh stone burial system, the floor is finished with Bat Trang glazed tiles. .
In addition, the project also restored the wooden frame system, roof system, and wooden door wall system of group II, preserved paint. Restoration of yellow glazed tiled roofs, brick walls with three-mix mortar, color basting, and light yellow whitewash. Furniture restoration. Arrange and install interior electrical systems, fire prevention and fighting.
Works at the Temple of Literature such as Dai Thanh Mon, Kim Thanh Mon, Ngoc Chan Mon, Temple of Literature and the marina area are also focused on restoration, embellishment and restoration.
